Does Littlebird listen to my microphone all the time?
Littlebird listens during meetings to transcribe and summarize them, and no bot joins the call. Meeting Notes also works for any audio or video playing on your computer, not only live calls. Observation is consent based: nothing is collected without your permission, and you can pause context collection at any time.
More detail
The design goal of Meeting Notes is presence: you stay in the conversation while the notes take care of themselves. That requires listening along during the meeting on your computer, rather than sending a visible bot participant into the call.
You hold the controls. Capture happens with permissions you grant, pause is always available, specific apps can be excluded entirely, and captured data can be deleted at any time, all of it or just the last hour or day.
The same storage facts apply as everywhere else: the app runs on your computer, and the memory it builds is encrypted and stored in the AWS cloud, never sold and never used for model training.
